🎯 Objective
Be the first player to score 121 points by forming combinations of cards during play and in your hand.
🃏 Setup
- Each player is dealt 6 cards
- Players discard 2 cards to the "crib" (dealer's bonus hand)
- A "starter" card is cut from the remaining deck
- Players alternate being the dealer each hand
🎮 Game Phases
1. The Play (Pegging)
- Players alternate playing cards, keeping a running count
- Count cannot exceed 31
- Score points for reaching exactly 15 or 31, pairs, runs, etc.
- Say "Go" when you can't play without exceeding 31
- Last player to play gets 1 point (or 2 if exactly 31)
2. The Show (Counting Hands)
- Non-dealer counts their hand first
- Dealer counts their hand, then the crib
- All hands include the starter card

During Play (Pegging):
- Fifteen (15): 2 points
- Thirty-one (31): 2 points
- Pair: 2 points
- Three of a kind: 6 points
- Four of a kind: 12 points
- Run (sequence): 1 point per card
- Go: 1 point (last to play)
In Hands (The Show):
- Fifteen: 2 points (any combination totaling 15)
- Pair: 2 points
- Three of a kind: 6 points
- Four of a kind: 12 points
- Run: 1 point per card in sequence
- Flush: 1 point per card (all same suit)
- Nobs: 1 point (Jack matching starter suit)
🏆 Winning
First player to reach exactly 121 points wins immediately, even during play!
💡 Strategy Tips
- Keep cards that work well together (pairs, runs, fifteens)
- Discard dangerous cards to opponent's crib (avoid 5s, face cards)
- During play, try to avoid giving your opponent easy scoring opportunities
- Count carefully - many games are won by accurate counting!
